30 Day Challenge - Day 5

Hello lovely people! I have been looking forward to my feet soak today for two reasons: I have a day off so I have more time for it, I don't have to rush around to set everything up, and secondly I am proud of myself being able to stick with something for 5 days, even though I have 25 days to go it is a big achievement for me. Oh and I want to get rid of my yellow feet after yesterday's soak! haha Turmeric has such a strong pigmentation! I might try to dye some material with it see how it goes :)

Today's soak is a reflection of yesterday's soak as I need to soak turmeric pigmentation off my feet:)) I am keeping everything simple today as well, just colour free and off :)

All you need is:

  1. 1 table spoon of bicarbonate of soda
  2. 1 table spoon of cider vinegar
  3. 6 drops of peppermint essential oil
30 Day Challenge - Day 5
It should nicely fizz when you put water in. I love apple cider vinegar, it is one of my favorite vinegar with plenty of health benefits, it has many uses from health to house. It has antibacterial properties and cleans very well so it helped me to get  turmeric off my feet. I should mention that after yesterdays soak I had a very calm night's sleep even though I ended up with yellow feet and the soak itself felt lovely. One of the cider vinegar properties is to draw toxins out through the skin and foot baths are supposed to draw toxins from the body through the sweat glands so I put two together in hope of doing wonders for me! HERE you can read more about the apple cider vinegar and it's uses. If you interested in reflexology and feet bathing this article is for you, it shows you a basic map on your feet and gives you other ideas on what you can use for your feet. You can find this article HERE.

Here is what I know about baking soda that it is a good odor and bacteria killer and and its good for exfoliating skin but it is also a multitasker just like apple cider vinegar and the two together are a perfect combination. If you ever suffer from bad foot odor it's the foot soak to try especially in hot summer days. Occasionally I add baking soda on my tooth paste to help to clean the plaque and I use it all around the house. I have to say I love it from baking to soaking :) You can get more inspired in this article HERE.

I used peppermint essential oil as it is great for feet and it goes to lots of foot products made for supermarkets. I guess it is all time favorite for the feet smells. It is refreshing and at same time has calming aromatherapy properties. Peppermint oil calms the skin and naturally energizes its great. HERE is the article for more about it :)

Hello! It is my 4th day of having foot baths for the health benefits and there is a lot I want to cover. However I will do a quick post tonight as I still have 26 days to go :)

I wanted to keep my foot baths simple and interesting and get different health benefits from it even though it boosts overall health.

I probably chose not the best time to have a challenge as I am working a lot recently but on the other hand it is helping me to go through it and helping me to test my routine limits and pushing me a little harder to get a little more of my day.

Today I decided to have herbal soak. I kept it very nice and simple I got inspired by Ayurveda. I looked and some herbal soak recipes and in the end I came up with my own. And it was very enjoyable.

30 Day Challenge - Day 4

30 Day Challenge - Day 4

Herbal Soak Bath

  1. 1 tea spoon on fresh dried grounded parsley
  2. 1 tea spoon of turmeric
  3.  3 buds of cardamon
This soak turned out very refreshing and smelled great I didn't even need to add any essential oil.
Couple of minuses are that my feet looked a little yellow after using turmeric and I needed to rise parsley afterwards but in general very enjoyable soak!

I chose turmeric for the benefits of improving skin and feet are always overlooked. I used cardamon for its detoxifying and noninflammatory properties and its widely used in Ayurveda. You can reed more about cardamon benefits here. Parsley I used mainly for refreshing feel and scent in this recipe even it has loads more benefits you can reed here.

I will write a little more about Ayurveda and their foot soaks in future blog posts about foot baths.

Hello I am proud to say I have stuck with my challenge for 3 days, yey! I have to celebrate every achievement haha :) 3 days done 27 to go!

I will keep this blog post nice and short.

30 Day Challenge - Day 3

Muscovado Sugar Scrub

  1. 1 table spoon of muscavado sugar
  2. 1 tea spoon coconut oil
  3. 3 drops of lavender essential oil
  4. 3 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
30 Day Challenge - Day 3

Nice and easy recipe which feels great! It is very similar to what I did yesterday just for a major change it is a scrub rather than a soak. Sugar scrubs are actually great for gently removing dead skin and it's a nice combination with coconut oil - afterwards it feels super luxurious! Using sugar scrubs on the feet can help with blood circulation. I used muscovado sugar as i find it nicest to use on the skin if you haven't had one it's natural unrefined cane sugar. It is in tiny little granules so massaging into a skin is super easy and not too rough. More about sugar scrub benefits you can read here.  I also had some left so i used it on my hands :) I hope someone will start doing challenge with me I need some company!

I hope you enjoyed reading it and stay tuned!

30 Day challenge - Day 2

Hello, so it is my second day of the challenge and unfortunately for me it's already a struggle! I know it is Saturday, however I have worked all day and it was definitely a busy day! So once I got home I just wanted to go straight to bed haha :) But dinner needed to be cooked and dog needed to be walked. However I enjoyed my soak itself if I wouldn't have challenged myself I would have probably skipped it but Oh Boy I'm glad I didn't!!!

30 Day challenge - Day 2

I made a very simple soak. I used:

1.  1 table spoon of rock salt
2. 1 tea spoon of coconut oil
3. 3 drops of lavender essential oil
4. 3 drops of eucalyptus essential oil

And i added warm water, it was easier to adjust the water temperature to my liking than yesterday.
I feel nicely relaxed and the smell combination of lavender and eucalyptus is great.

I chose rock salt for many many great health benefits like detoxifying and muscle relaxing it also helps to remove dead skin which is great for the feet, especially after long day on my legs! This is great link to read more about rock salts here.

Everyone knows loads of uses of coconut oil. I used it in my soak mainly for moisturizing and making my feet nice and soft but here is the link to get even more inspired about coconut oil here.

Lavender essential oil has antibacterial and  anti fungal properties so its great to use on feet which have been in shoes all day! It also relaxes so soaking feet and breathing in lavender oil in the evening  will get anyone ready for good night sleep! Here is the link to read more about lavender essential oil.

Oh and I mustn't forget  one of my new favorites for this winter eucalyptus essential oil. I fell in love with it again this year and the combination with lavender is divine! It's very good for anyone who has respiratory issues this winter helps with fighting nasty colds! You can get inspired more here.

30 Day challenge - Day 2

I wanted to write so much more today about soaking but I think it is the time for me to go and get some rest! As I still have plenty of time to write more blogs as I have 28 days left of my own challenge to myself for my own well being! I hope you enjoyed reading it if you will try out this simple recipe let me know in comments what your thoughts are!

30 Day Challange - Day 1

Hello lovely people! In the end of 2016 year I came up with the idea to challenge myself for 30 days soaking my feet. Firstly because I walk a lot, I literally walk everywhere (I haven't used a bus in a very long time), so my feet and legs get tired and achy. Secondly I decided to challenge myself sticking with 30 days because I find it very hard to stick with things in general and because after 30 days it becomes a habit I thought it would be good for me. I will  document my 30 day foot soak challenge on my blog and I'm planning to write about my ups and downs with sticking with my challenge, my well being, different soaks for my feet, DIY recipes and anything in between.

30 Day Challange - Day 1

This particular natural soak I made with eucalyptus essential oil to sooth my feet. I am hosting a giveaway on my Instagram  account for you to try and maybe even join me on my 30 day foot soak challenge. All you have to do to win it is follow my Instagram account, like the image and tag two friends in comments and VOILA you have entered!  So good luck, the winner will be announced on 3 February 2017!

30 Day Challange - Day 1

I am writing my blog after my feet have been soaked I feel relaxed and my feet feels nicely soothed and soft from natural oils and essential oils. The foot soak itself nicely dissolved in the water and the smell is very gentle. Pink colour of the soak makes it extra girly.

Hello everyone! I would love to introduce Ted & Kip just to say thank you to them! As they hosted a giveaway I entered on Instagram and to my biggest surprise I actually won! I never win anything so it has been a definitely nice surprise! But as people say you have to be in to win it:) So hooray for me! I think it is a nice start to the year as well, maybe next I will win the lottery!

I decided to blog about Ted & Kip as so much effort went into sending me this bundle the crafter even put some confetti in the envelope!  It's like a good Christmas present, doesn't matter what it is but the most important thing is how much thought was put in it and Anna put loads of it and I am very grateful as I loved opening little bits of cute items with beautiful designs in it.

Hello everyone so it's time for slowly getting back to some sort of pre-festive routine. Anyone who has been following me for the past year would know that all my OOTDs were moving towards feeling comfortable and this casual outfit is exactly that! I chose high waist jeans paired up with a casual cotton blouse and beautiful detailed butterfly earrings and VOILA! Feels comfortable and right. I also wear my smart shoes which maybe I should make a separate blog post as I am already on my second pair and I have all intentions of getting a third pair exactly the same:) Maybe sounds crazy but I couldn't live without them.

Now what I realized back in 2016 and will be taking into 2017 is that I absolutely love wearing high waist jeans and prefer them over other fittings. They have their benefits like staying where they should be staying after bending down. Looks a lot better with a tucked in blouse than other fittings. If you put a t-shirt over no one will ever know that it is high waist jeans and just a personal opinion that bums looks better in them too :) High waist jeans is on my must have all the time list :)

I hope you enjoyed my simplistic OOTD on my blog. Its meant to be for those days when we need to pop in the shop or pick up a couple of things here and there for those normal days when there is loads to do and we just want to look good and feel comfortable.

Thanks for reading!!!

Hello you lovely people. Happy New Year! I hope all your New Year plans will come true. I wish you all the happiness in the world, just stay positive and keep on moving forward. I know everyone is a little naughty over the festive season: eating a little too much, drinking a little too much sitting on the couch a little too much and watching all the Christmas films in a row (haha that's me). So after all the festivity goes away we all need a little bit of a boost for going back to our normal routines and cracking on with our New Year resolutions. So what can be better than natural essential oils for boosting our immunity system, lifting our mood and boosting our energy levels? So I came up with a list of three essential oils which are great for everyone to have on hand to help us to smoothly transition from winter to spring.

3 Essential Oils Worth Having For Springus

Lemon Essential Oil is a great mood lifter. Lemon Essential oil could be called a multi purpose oil. Its literally good for everything!  House cleaning, skin, neutralizing odors. Just remember all essential oils need to be diluted before getting coming into contact with the skin. There are loads of  different ways to use lemon essential oil, you can read more about it here.

3 Essential Oils Worth Having For Springus

Another essential oil I love is lime. Lime essential oil smells wonderful, it has a sort of sweet citrus aroma which can nicely compliment smell of frankincense essential oil or tea tree. Lime essential oil is great for putting our health on track, it fights viral and bacterial infections, it's also a great desiccant. It is also a great mood lifter and energy booster like other stimulating essential oils. So it's definitely one to look out for when we are not feeling 100 percent. More uses of lime essential oil can be found here.

3 Essential Oils Worth Having For Springus

And the final essential oil I have chosen for this list is jolly mandarin. I called it jolly because I love the sweet sweet smell with loads of health benefits for us. Mandarin essential oil is great for the skin, is uplifting and toning. It also has similar antibacterial properties like lime and lemon and helping to get rid of winter blues. More uses of mandarin essential oil can be found here and here.

I hope you enjoyed reading my 3 essential oils list to help us go back in feeling good, fresh and lifted. When the days are still very dark health and well being are something to look after.

Thanks for reading!
