The Vision:

Just imagine walking into a spacious dressing room in the early morning with beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. You look around the room and sunshine is bursting in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. You open the curtains and its beautiful outside: close to the forest, birds flying by, scent of blooming flowers in the spring time air. The room fills up with fresh ground coffee you are carrying around. This luxurious and private hideaway space is yours with dominating colours of white, green and grey/black. The air is so fresh and light from the filtrating houseplants. The space is yours to relax in and read a book in the evening or gently wake up in the morning.

About The Project:

I wanted to create a beautiful master dressing room with lots of windows inviting the sunshine in. The style of the room is modern classic with chandeliers and house plants, light plain walls, modern furnishings like a sofa and dressing table. I wanted to craft a mood board with different materials and take loads of pictures to create a digital mood board. I used different materials on the crafting a board to create the sense and  feeling of the emotion which can be felt and the windows can be opened, the smell of  roasted coffee beans can be smelled on the mood board. The idea of the project came from ARHAUS, who inspired me to create my ideal dressing room and describe how would it look like. I used their chandeliers in my mood board as I thought they looked incredibly gorgeous (check out other pendant lighting options here). I took on this project with enthusiasm as I had loads of ideas how I would like my perfect dressing room to look like. The main challenge of the project for me was the crafting skills which I do not have, and my mood board does not look anything like I imagined. However, what I have plenty of is imagination and I managed to bring the main concept  of the original idea I had. For me it might sound lame but this project was a journey rather than a destination.
